How we handle your information
This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it and what we do with it. It is written to meet our obligations under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Who we are
Jacobs & Beukes Consulting (Pty) Ltd is the responsible party for the personal information described here. Our address is 71 Verwoerd Avenue, Pierre van Ryneveld, Centurion 0157, and we also operate from Witbank, Mpumalanga.
What we collect
If you send us an enquiry through this website, we collect:
- Your name
- Your company name, if you give it
- Your email address
- Your telephone number, if you give it
- What you need help with, and whatever you tell us about the business
We do not ask for identity numbers, tax numbers, banking details or financial records through this website. Please do not send them through the enquiry form. If we need that information to do work for you, we will ask for it directly and agree a secure way to send it.
This website does not use analytics, advertising trackers or social media pixels, and it does not build a profile of you.
Why we collect it
Only to reply to your enquiry, to prepare a quote, and to contact you about the work you have asked us about. We do not use website enquiries for marketing lists, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anybody.
Who else sees it
Enquiries are emailed to us and stored on our website hosting, which is provided by Afrihost in South Africa. Our email runs on Google Workspace. Those providers process the information on our behalf in order to deliver and store the message.
We do not share website enquiries with anybody else unless you become a client and the work itself requires it — for example a submission to SARS, CIPC or the Department of Employment and Labour that you have asked us to make on your behalf.
How long we keep it
The copy of your enquiry stored on this website is deleted automatically after 30 days. The email it generates stays in our mailbox so that we can pick up the conversation where it left off, and you can ask us to delete that at any time. If you become a client, the records relating to your work are kept for the periods required by the relevant tax and companies legislation.
Keeping it safe
The website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and the folder holding enquiry records is not reachable from the internet. Access to enquiries is limited to the people in the practice who need it to respond to you.
Fonts loaded from Google
This site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. That means your browser makes a request to Google when you open a page, and Google receives your IP address as part of that request. No cookie is set and nothing else is shared. If you would rather this did not happen, most browsers allow you to block third-party requests.
Your rights
Under POPIA you may ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong or out of date
- Delete information we no longer have a reason to keep
- Stop using your information for a particular purpose
Write to us and we will respond. There is no charge for a reasonable request.
Who to contact
Our Information Officer is Elene Jacobs. For anything to do with your personal information, email elene@jbcon.co.za or call +27 61 7671028.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a request, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
